Sorry about the lack of updates over the past month. We have been busy with life and conversations with people about our vision and mission God has us on. We need your prayer… not just want them… we need them! Our community needs Jesus, that is no secret to people, but the harvest doesn’t happen unless God moves first. Pray that God is working on the hearts of people, pray that Ridgepoint comes into their lives at the right time and pray that they come to know Jesus.

We are on the journey that John the Baptist was on: we are preparing the way for God to work in the hearts of people in Peoria, Arizona. This coming week we start to preform needs assignments with members of our community. Please pray that people be open to lending their knowledge about this community and their needs.

We also apply for our 501c3, non-profit status with the IRS, this month but we’re a little short of our goal. Please pray or give so we exceed that goal.

Our pastor, Josh, is trying to move into the community in which we are wanting to plant, but finances are keeping him from doing so. Ask God to provide a job or side work for Pastor Josh and get him into the community full-time.

Finally, but most important: keep praying for the hearts of people!

Its Not Just Lip Service

We are not a church that just gives lip service to the Gospel. We believe in it. It defines who we are, it defines what we do. It’s not just something we say, it is something we live. Because at the core of who we are, we want people to meet Jesus!

Because church doesn’t change people’s lives, Jesus does. And the church doesn’t give people hope, Jesus does. And the church doesn’t offer peace, Jesus does. We don’t want to be just another church, we want to be a church that God uses to change our community with the message and love of Jesus Christ.

Informational Meeting

We exist for anyone who wants to be all of who God created them to be. You may have called yourself a Christian for a long time, but despite your religious activity you’re still trying to figure out who you are, the role God plays in your life, and what your life is supposed to be about. You may not call yourself a “Christian” but you have tasted moments where you have longed for your life to have a deeper meaning. You may look at our community and wonder who will step to make a difference and begin to bring transformational heart change.

The bottom line is that Ridgepoint Church may be the church for you – more importantly you may be what Ridgepoint Church needs – because we are a church where everyone is accepted, and where everyone is expected to grow.

Stop and Evaluate

We live these lives from day to day, missing the reason we are here in the first place. We have forgotten, or maybe even never known, how Jesus has completely transformed our lives. He wants us to step up and influences change in the lives around us. He wants us to help them meet Him, Jesus! Let’s live our lives to the fullness God intended them to be.

Being a Christ-Follower is about being, not doing.

BE a Christ-follower

Stop acting like a follower of Christ and start being one. We have too many “Christians” in this world that have lost focus of why Jesus stepped foot of this earth in the first place. We need to get back to basics, we need to get back to Jesus.
